Argentine Bahia Pallet

Argentine Bahia Pallet

Bahiagrass can be established any time of the year in much of Florida. It is primarily used as a pasture grass on sandy soil and does not require high inputs of water or fertilizer. This makes it a great choice for homes on many acres, slopes, retention ponds, and commercial sites.

  • Most affordable sod
  • No irrigation system required
  • Grows best in the sunlight
  • Relatively dense sod with a dark green color
  • Goes dormant in winter
  • Reseeds itself in the long days of summer

In-depth on Bahiagrass and maintenence.

Do not be alarmed if your Bahia sod looks dry, clumpy and dead, sod farms do not irrigate Bahia.

These conditions indicate dormancy and this is the nature of bahia sod. Bahia sod will root and become green again as you water and when it rains.

If you are looking for an instant green, full turf we recommend St. Augustine.

Due to its perishability and sensitivity all sod is sold without any guarantees expressed or implied of merchantability.

Sod is not weed-free and is susceptible to various insects and diseases. Sod can die almost as easily as any other living plant. For optimal performance from our sods, proper site preparation, and post-installation care are crucial. Adequate sunlight (trim trees) and proper irrigation are recommended along with pest and fertilizer treatments from a licensed professional.
